BARCODE SCANNERS

The scanner can automatically recognize different types of barcodes. But still it is better to know in advance what types of barcodes you will use, 1D or 2D, or both. Also, you need to understand whether the wired scanner will be good enough, or still need wireless ? You need to understand if just a scanner or data terminal is sufficient?

You should make sure that the barcode scanner you choose will work with your POS system. The scanners can be connected via RS232, PS/2, USB HID or USB-VCom interfaces. Check with your software vendor to find out what type of connection they support, and make sure that these ports are present and free on your computer.
